Photography sessions are memorable experiences and I want you to have the best session possible. These tips and suggestions are designed to help you get the most out of your photo session.
Pre-Game Selfies
You might snicker to yourself, but take A LOT of selfies before your photo shoot. Selfies are great practice for a photo session. The more selfies you take, the more practice you’ll have showing the camera your best face. Then there’s the added bonus of feeling more confident in front of the camera since you have all those rad selfies in your phone. Take it a step further and practice poses and different expressions in the mirror. I recommend power poses for an extra boost of confidence the scientific way.
Location
Take time to consider the location of your photo shoot. Private setting vs Outdoor. Rented location vs public space. All settings have their pros and cons. Private locations may charge a fee while public locations may have heavy foot traffic and on-lookers. If you’re not sure what’s best for you, we can discuss different options available.

Lincoln Park | Piers off Alaska Way | The Arboretum |
Props
Props are a way to give your photos an extra layer of personality and add even greater personal value. Consider bringing items that hold significant personal value or help tell the story of you. It doesn’t matter if it’s something as small as a favorite toy or big as a cello or Cloud Sword. You can even get extra meta and bring another picture to be in your picture.
